Lap Pool
Rules for Lap Pool:
- No diving.
- Circle swimming required when more than 2 persons using a lap lane.
- Starting blocks are off limits, unless supervised by coach or instructor.
- We recommend no eating 1 hour before entering the pool.
- ALL Children in floatation devices must have an adult within one arms reach of them at ALL times.
- Flotation Devices must be coast guard approved.
- No running.
- No spitting, dunking, or rough housing.
- Children 14 years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older.
- No rafts allowed
- Soft pool balls only in the pool area.
- No water guns.
- ALL swimmers must shower before entering the water.
- No chewing gum in the pool.
- No persons with an open wound are permitted in the pool.
- Swim attire required.
- Swim tests may be administered at the discretion of the lifeguard.
- All children MUST be potty trained or be in “swimmies” to enter the pool, NO DIAPERS.
- Lap lanes are for lap swimming only.
- No hanging on the lap lanes (lane separators).
- Lifeguards are in direct supervision and may enforce other rules at their discretion.
- Lap Lanes
- Circle swimming required when more than 2 persons using a lap lane.
- When circle swimming, be courteous (let faster swimmers pass), do not hang at ends of the lane.
- All children between the ages 14 and 16 must pass a swim test in order to come to the pool alone.
- Kickboards are not floatation devices and should be used only with an instructor or for lap swimming.
